Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate has a crossover with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo has announced.

The collaboration means you can play as Link in the upcoming Capcom developed Nintendo Switch game. The video below shows off how this looks.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, which comes out on these shores on 28th August, is the western version of Monster Hunter XX, which released on Switch and 3DS in Japan last year.

Monster Hunter XX is itself a spruced up and expanded version of 2016 3DS game Monster Hunter X, which is known as Monster Hunter Generations over here. Generations Ultimate will not be getting a western release on 3DS.

Usefully, you can transfer your progress from Monster Hunter Generations to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate on Nintendo Switch.
